The J.D. Danner Band Rocks Palm Beach Pride

By Joanie Cox-Henry

It was a glittery, rainbow of fierce fun as J.D. Danner took the stage at Palm Beach Pride surrounded by an army of top-notch local musicians. As Danner belted out coveted covers such as Joan Jett's version of "Crimson And Clover," Rod Stewart's hit "Maggie May" and Melissa Etheridge's anthemic "I'm The Only One," Dan O'Brien powerfully held it down on lead guitar with fresh riffs and the classic, signature style that has made O'Brien such an integral part of the South Florida music scene. Eddie Huerta was a joyful addition on keys and Steve Cocola pounded his heart out on the drums while Jim Harrison delivered a memorable performance on bass.

Danner also performed several of her original tunes including "Almost Home," and a high energy dance version of her song about repeating the same mistakes in love titled "The Lover I Once Knew."

Many of Danner's loyal supporters were in the crowd along with her "Rainbow Remix" podcast co-host Denise Warner-Gregory who was in town from London to attend the show. Their popular podcast has attracted some notable guests which include everyone from legendary actress Sharon Gless to Celeste Pechous who played quirky character Campbell on "Work In Progress" on Showtime.

After the set, Danner posed for pictures with fans and enjoyed hearing how her music as impacted their lives. "It's always a pleasure to play this event," Danner says. "I am really proud of my band and we had so much fun up there today. I hope the audience had a blast and, as always, I appreciate the support. It was an amazing day!"
