Duane Betts & Palmetto Motel Taste The Funky Biscuit

Duane Betts is not just a skilled guitarist; he is a storyteller whose narratives unfold through the strings of his instrument. One of the standout aspects of Duane Betts' live shows is his ability to seamlessly blend rock, blues, and Southern influences. He demonstrated that during his Dec. 28 performance at The Funky Biscuit in Boca Raton, Fla.

As the son of legendary guitarist Dickey Betts from the Allman Brothers Band, Duane has seamlessly carried on the family legacy while carving out his own distinct musical identity.

His music is a soulful journey that pays homage to his roots while pushing the boundaries of traditional genres. Whether he's delivering electrifying solos or collaborating with fellow musicians, Betts creates a musical atmosphere that is both nostalgic and contemporary.

During his Boca Raton show, Betts treated the crowd to multiple Allman Brothers Band covers including "Blue Sky," "Shinin,''" Rivers Run," and "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed."

Betts will return to South Florida to set sail on the Rock Legends Cruise, leaving from Fort Lauderdale Feb. 22-26. And Betts will be in good company on that ship with Sammy Hagar, Bret Michaels, Rick Springfield, Collective Soul and many others. Then Betts will return to Florida again for a Miramar show May 4, 2024.
