Florida's own husband and wife-fronted punk act, The Dollyrots opened its Jan. 21, 2024 show at Revolution Live with feel-good songs such as "Because I'm Awesome" and "Brand New Key." Then Lit unleashed its hits upon the eager crowd, unloading “Over My Head,” and “My Own Worst Enemy,” and more while the happy crowd enthusiastically sang along. The spirited singalong continued once Bowling For Soup took the stage over.
Bowling For Soup, a pop-punk band hailing from Wichita Falls, Texas, has been a constant presence in the music scene since their formation in 1994. With a career spanning several decades, the band has crafted a unique blend of infectious melodies, witty lyrics, and a dash of irreverent humor. It's safe to say that Bowling For Soup still knows how to deliver a memorable show.
One of the standout qualities of Bowling For Soup is its ability to connect with its audience. From the moment they stepped on stage, lead singer Jaret Reddick's charismatic presence set a tone of lighthearted camaraderie. The band effortlessly engages the crowd, creating an atmosphere that feels more like a raucous house party than a traditional concert. This rapport is undoubtedly one of the key factors that has endeared them to fans over the years. "Sucker Punch," "Girl All The Bad Guys Want," and "1985" were just a few of the highlights of an epic night.
Here's Bowling For Soup's Complete setlist from the night.
While some may argue that the band's style hasn't evolved dramatically over the years, there's an undeniable comfort in their signature sound, reminiscent of the golden era of pop-punk. The band's sense of humor is a central element of their identity, and it shines through both in their lyrics and on-stage banter. And what's more punk rock than that?
